Atlanta is located in the north west area of Georgia and is comprised of a 28 county metropolitan area that features a population of approximately 5 million people. Within the actual city limits of Atlanta is a population of approximately 430,000 people so it may definitely be said that Atlanta is a suburban community. Atlanta is home to the worlds busiest airport ( Hartsfield – Jackson International Airport ) and the corporate headquarters of many large corporations such as Coca Cola Enterprises, Home Depot, Delta Airlines and Georgia Pacific.
Atlanta Real Estate has undergone much revitalization in recent years including the development of Atlantic Station, Cabbagetown, Reynoldstown, Eastlake and West End. Atlanta Real Estate may be divided in to many separate areas but is most often first classified as “ITP” or “OTP” which stands for inside or outside the perimeter. I-285 is the perimeter highway that circles the city of Atlanta and thus has become the perimeter of the ITP and OTP classifications. As Atlanta is comprised heavily of suburban residents then more people have historically moved outside the perimeter but in the more recent times people have began moving to locations inside the perimeter making that real estate much more desirable.
